A few years ago I set a goal to improve myself both inside and out, and one of those goals was treating my hair loss. Thanks to Seoul Medical Guide and Root Hair Clinic, I was able to achieve this goal confidently, comfortably, and with a medically satisfying result. I started getting information about Root Hair Clinic online through Seoul Medical Guide, and I met someone named Sam. Sam gave me all the information about Root Hair Clinic and took care of every single detail I needed before travelling from the US to Korea for the procedure. Once I arrived in Korea, I had a final consultation with the clinic manager, Zahid. Zahid interpreted every conversation between me and Director Lee Yun-ju. The director took the time to kindly answer every single question I had, and I could go through the consultation comfortably without feeling rushed. From after the surgery, Zahid kindly answered every inquiry I had. He always responded quickly and patiently. On the day of surgery, it only hurt a little when I got the anesthesia injection. I'd already prepared myself mentally after reading other people's reviews. The pain was similar to getting Novocaine injected into your gums before a dental procedure. It was a slight sting and discomfort, but bearable. After 1-2 minutes I was completely numb and felt nothing. It's been 2 weeks since surgery and I just had my stitches removed. I had a combined FUT/FUE procedure to transplant as many hairs as possible. I was really nervous before this procedure, but thanks to Seoul Medical Guide, Root Hair Clinic, Sam, Zahid, Director Lee Yun-ju, and the entire team, I could go through it feeling reassured and comfortable. I don't regret starting this journey one bit. I've already booked another procedure through Seoul Medical Guide for this winter, and when I go back to Korea I'll visit Zahid to show him my hair growth in person. Update: It's now over 6 months since surgery, and I've added before-and-after photos to show the results. Latest update (July 18, 2025): It's been 1 year since surgery. I booked by phone and had the surgery right away. During the surgery, near the end it seemed like they were instructing to throw away the remaining follicles. I thought I must have misheard, but the nurse said, "They're follicles, and you want me to throw them away?" So the doctor said there was no more room to plant them and that's how it ended. For someone getting a hair transplant, how precious is every single strand...! I have a lot of friends and had referred a lot of people, but I suddenly started getting angry. I stewed on it and on my disinfection appointment day, when that director was disinfecting while looking at the scar, I said something like “did you plant all the ones you harvested...” and he got angry all on his own and yelled like he was the one wronged. I wanted to flip out but held it in because I was worried the surgical site might rupture. Time passed, and I stopped by on my way somewhere to pick up prescribed medication and had a checkup, and honestly his character... during the surgery consultation he was nice^^ And about the prescription fee — other places charge 5,000 or 10,000 won regardless of how many months' worth, but here the prescription fee increases with each month of medication, like 10,000 won per month? So 3 months would be 30,000 won, charged like that. They advertise cheap prices as their slogan but do business like this, so judge carefully... This is basically the first comment I've ever written. I got so angry seeing something on YouTube that I decided I needed to write this, and even though it's a hassle, I'm posting it.

When I first looked for a hair transplant center, I felt overwhelmed. By chance, I saw a video of someone who had hair transplant at Route Hair Transplant, and I decided to go for a consultation. The surgery was on December 30th, and during the procedure, contrary to my worries, I didn’t feel pain at all. Overall, I was very satisfied. My hair transplant experience was enjoyable, and the procedure went smoothly. It took a few hours, but the staff were friendly and professional from start to finish. The doctor was also kind and knowledgeable. It's been two months since the surgery, and although it's still an awkward phase, I have high expectations for the new hair growth.

The price is too expensive. They charge extra even just for consultation. The service for foreigners was also not good. Even though it was the scheduled time, I waited almost an hour.
