I thought they'd just fire the laser randomly, but it seemed like they actually adjusted the laser to suit each individual scar. I have a deep scar on my cheek, and it faded a little, and my makeup also started looking better. It didn't improve dramatically after just one session, but if you get three or more sessions, the scar really does smooth out.

Laser treatment with Encore is definitely different from general MTS or Fraxel. It seems to be especially effective for wave-like scars, and the quick recovery time makes me feel much more comfortable. I am very satisfied with the attentive care I received.
